Some of the past activities sponsored by the Friends of Coronado State Monument for both members and guests are highlighted in the links to the left.  

 

May 2, 2008 Membership Wine and Cheese Party.  From time to time 'free' catered dinner and evening entertainment is proved to the membership as a get-to-know-each-other function. 

August 22, 2008, the members only Buckaroo Bash event was held. 

 

December 12, 2008 Christmas at Kuaua

The annual lighting of hundreds of flickering luminarias took place on December 12, 2008.  Visitors ere treated to dancing by the Jemez Oak Canyon dancers by the bonfire in the ancient plaza, story telling by Emmett Garcia, and flute music by Andrew Thomas.  Children’s crafts in the elves’ workshop and a visit with Santa were also there.  Snacks of cookies, biscochitos and hot cider were enjoyed by the visitors.
