Satellite view of Coronado State Monument grounds and the
adjoining undeveloped area to the North. The Kiva is clearly visible
(just left of the picture center) as are the landmarks: the walking path around the Kuaua Pueblo, the North
room set, the perimeter road around the archeological site, and the
entrance road and parking lot. More subtle are: The North room
blocks; The Back Country
trail that begins at the Northeast edge of the ruins and runs along the
Rio Grande North of the Ruins; and The River Walk trail that runs along
the Rio Grande just East of the Monument visitor center.
To take a virtual tour of
the Monument grounds you may (1) click
on the navigation bar to the left to view various scenes from around the
Monument, (2) click on any of the small images around the satellite picture, or
(3) move the mouse cursor over the satellite view map and click when the
cursor turns to a pointer. The pictures were taken in the general areas of
the pointer. (For the time being, one has to use the browser
"Back" button or the "Monument Tour" navigation text
button at the top of the page to return to the 'satellite' picture
starting page.)
