| What’s So Different About This Camp? | |
We Are
Selective: We intentionally limit participation in each session of the Frostburg Soccer Camps program. We have designed a unique program that provides customized and innovative soccer and leadership activities on the best fields on our campus. We are not just a for-profit soccer business that is after the bottom-line, but a soccer program interested in sharing knowledge and our passion for the game. |
We
Guarantee a College-Level Coach will train Your Team for Every Session:
Our staff is comprised ONLY of coaches with U.S. college experience! We do not have paid "trainers" or current players responsible for providing instruction. Players and teams will be instructed and evaluated in all training sessions and games by coaches with college coaching experience who clearly understand and will convey the demands of the collegiate game. |
We Provide
Unique Leadership and College Prep Activities: Every day at our camp, a unique leadership seminar or activity is conducted for all players. We also conduct a college seminar with the goal of having every camper develop a clearer understanding of the college selection process and the role sports can play in their college decision. Our professional staff will put special emphasis on the psychological aspects of the competitive soccer-athlete and the role leadership plays in team and peer groups. |
We
Challenge Every Player in Every Session: Our first priority is to improve your play for the upcoming season. The key to any "advanced camp" is to create field sessions and competitive games that challenge every player and that is precisely our focus. Our staff will work with each player to target their most urgent training needs. |

| Our Location and Facilities:
Frostburg State University is located in Frostburg, MD midway between Pittsburgh and the Baltimore/Washington area in the Allegheny Mountains of Western Maryland. It is conveniently located just off I-68 a little more than 2 hours from either metro area. Because of its location, the climate and elevation make it ideal for summer soccer training and the soccer fields at FSU are irrigated and kept in beautiful condition all summer. The residence halls are air-conditioned, have modern furniture, microwave/refrigerator units, cable TV, internet access, and are just steps from the Dining Hall. Players are housed in double rooms in a designated upper-class hall in "quads" or 4-room halls that share a large bathroom. The Aramark-catered Dining Hall has a variety of hot entrees, a salad and soup bar, a cold-cut station, and fruit and sport drinks at every meal. | ||||||||||||||

| Our Curriculum: Field sessions will include functional position-specific exercises and games designed to meet the demands of each position played on a team: forwards, midfielders, defenders, and your goalkeeper. Tactical topics are based on games that demand speed with the ball and intelligent movements off the ball and present the players with various decision-making situations. | ||||||||||||||
