Introduction

My name is Susan Fyer Dyer and I make beads.

All beads are handmade, Moretti glass, kiln-annealed.

Hole sizes - beads recommended for earrings or bracelets usually have 1/16" holes. Larger beads usually have 3/32" holes, big enough to put 1 mm cord through.  Dread Beads have BIG holes, typically 1/4", so that you can pull a lock of hair through them.  See individual pictures for more detail.

Some beads are etched, but any bead can be etched.  Usually this is done to transparents so that light is diffused softly through them.  Etching opaque glass gives more of an antique flat finish.  Some surface shielding can be done during the process so that there are shiny parts on etched beads.  If you want this done to an unetched bead, contact me for particulars and cost.

See a set that you would like expanded or want small beads to go with a large? Custom orders gladly taken.

Oh yes, those fabulous beads up in the title are for sale also. $8 each plus good old postage. 2 1/2 cm x 2 cm each.
