Well, I've always wanted to start a rumor, so now's my chance...


To make a long story short: My sister had a party at my house this weekend.
One of her guests knows Perla Battalla - the woman who did backing vocals
with Cohen on his Austin City Limits performance. Guest said that she had
told him that Cohen had contacted her about doing back-up vocals on a
tour next year. Unfortunately the guest didn't know any other details, and
really isn't that close a friend of Perla's, so he isn't really in any
position to find out much more information. (The funny thing was is he
didn't really know how famous Leonard Cohen is in some circles, nor
had he ever heard Cohen's music. He said, "Cohen's supposed to be a lot
like Dylan, isn't he? Real depressing lyrics and stuff?". (Oh well, it
was pearls before swine.)).


So based on this, flimsy as it is, we may have a tour to look forward to
sometime in the not-too-distant future.
