Has anybody seen documentation of a connection (or influence thread)
between Leonard Cohen and the later works of the New York based (former)
noise band the Swans?


Their most recent (to my hearing) album sounds heavily Cohen influenced
 - as well as sounding like a volume of Harry Crosby poetry - if a
little more "stringy".


A friend of mine had occasion to speak with Gira a while back, and he
said that he had been listening to Cohen. So does Cohen know this?
Would he care?
