Whither Thou Goest
I want to thank you .. ah, - for tonight,
- for this real warmth that you've shown us.
We've been on the road for awhile now
and your hospitality means a great deal to us.
And I want to thank you myself,
not just for tonight,
but for all the years that you've shown an interest in my songs.
I really appreciate it.
We're leaving Germany tomorrow morning,
and we won't be back for awhile
but this night will stay in our hearts.
We thank you for it.

Wither Thou Goest {1}
----------------------------------------------
Wither Thou goest - I will go.
Wither Thou lodgest - I will lodge.
Thy people shall be - My people - own.
Wither Thou goest - I will go.
Wither Thou goest - I will go.
Wither Thou lodgest - I will lodge.
Thy people shall be - My people - own.
Wither Thou goest - I will go.
I hope I - ah - don't offend any atheists
If I bestow upon you the ancient priestly benediction,
which binds the generations, one to another: {2}
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May the Lord shine his radiance upon you.
May the Lord turn His face toward you.
Ingress - grant you.
The blessings of Peace,
Peace, my friends.

notes:
{1} -- is from Ruth:
Ru:1:16: And Ruth said, Intreat me not
to leave thee, or to return from following
after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go;
and where thou lodgest, I will lodge:
thy people shall be my people,
and thy God my God:
Ru:1:17: Where thou diest, will I die,
and there will I be buried: the LORD
do so to me, and more also, if ought
but death part thee and me. )
{2} -- is from Numbers:
Nu:6:22: And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
Nu:6:23: Speak unto Aaron and unto his sons, saying,
On this wise ye shall bless the children of Israel,
saying unto them,
Nu:6:24: The LORD bless thee, and keep thee:
Nu:6:25: The LORD make his face shine upon thee,
and be gracious unto thee:
Nu:6:26: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee,
and give thee peace.
