Gail Fulford, Ed.S. began her teaching career in Ellisville, Mississippi in 1973 at Ellisville State School/Hospital. She graduated with honors from The University of Southern Mississippi with a Masters Degree in Learning Disabilities and a Specialist Degree in Behavior Disorders. Accomplishments: * Developed many workshops and seminars for educators including "The Exceptional Child" course, which she taught for more than 17 years for Cobb County Staff Development and Atlanta City Schools Staff Development. * She developed workshops, "How to Enjoy Your Life & Your Job" and "Stress Management and Life Skills for Teachers" and has presented them at various locations across the country. * For seven years, Gail was an adjunct professor at Kennesaw State University teaching Educational Psychology and The Exceptional Child course. Gail is currently a Supervisor of Student Teachers at Kennesaw State. * She developed and implemented 15 workshops for the staff/teachers at The Devereux Psychiatric Hospital, where she also served as a Consultant. *Authored two handbooks, "Motivating the Unmotivated; Enhancing Your Effectiveness in the Classroom" and "No Child Left Unmotivated: Interventions & Strategies That Work on Your Toughest Students." * Recently she was the keynote speaker at the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) to help kick off the new school year. With over 30 years of teaching experience, Gail Fulford has spent her entire career helping struggling students become successful in school. As a teacher, author, and nationally recognized keynote speaker, she has changed thousands of lives through her insightful message. Each year educators around the country improve their teaching, renew their passion, and lengthen their careers as they hear Gail Fulford speak about closing the achievement gap and meeting the needs of all students.
