This page is here to share with you some of the other hikes that we've enjoyed in the Whites. There are so many gorgeous places to enjoy that, even if you don't end up on a wind swept open summit you'll still get some degree of view or "peek" at something. I've broken it into to categories, Peaks With Peeks which are hikes to some type of mountain summit. It may not be that magical 4000 feet but it'll still have a summit area with enjoyable views. The other category is Peeks Without Peaks. These are hikes to ponds, ledges etc. that will still provide you with some very interesting things to see and most likely even a good view. It just won't be from a summit!
If you'd like more info on these hikes or want to be able to find great new hikes of your own, then you definitely need to get a copy of the AMC White Mountain Guide. It is by far the best source for information about the Whites and even comes complete with maps of the area. If you still have questions, then please drop me some mail and I'll see if I can help!
Peaks With Peeks
| Name | Elev. | Location | Comments |
| Chocorua | 3500 | Chocorua NH | If you don't mind crowds or if you do it at the right time this is a spectacular mountain with a fantastic 360 view! |
| Morgan & Percival | 2200+ | Sandwich, NH | Two really fun little mountains with great views of Squam Lake and beyond. There's even a tiny bit of "caving" to enjoy here! |
| The Rattlesnakes | 1200+ | Sandwich, NH | For a mile of walking without much vertical rise you get a great rocky summit with fantastic views of Squam Lake. This is a great summer walk to take those that aren't hikers on! |
| Sandwich Dome | 3980 | Waterville Valley, NH | One of the best sub 4k peaks we've hiked. Open ledgy areas on the way up make you feel higher than you are and a small open summit make this a real favorite! |
| Welch & Dickey | 2605 & 2734 | Waterville Valley, NH | Two "small" mountains that really have the feel of much larger mountains. The open rocky areas and a couple of minor scrambles really give these two the feel of mountains twice their height! |

Peeks Without Peaks
| Name | Elev. | Location | Comments |
| Imp Face | 3165 | Pinkham Notch NH | Fantastic view down the notch and especially of Dolly Copp Campground |
| Goodrich Rock | 2500 | Waterville Valley NH | Great views from Goodrich Rock and generally just a varied and interesting trail |
| Greeley Ponds | 2200 | Waterville Valley, NH | These two small ponds have become our favorites in any season of the year. Gorgeous setting with the ledges of the East Peak of Osceola on one side and the ledges of Mount Kancamagus on the other. |
| The Scaur | 2250 | Waterville Valley NH | Decent view from a small rock outcropping. We often enjoy combining this with hikes such as Big Pines, Greeley Ponds or Goodrich Rock. With a bit of bushwhacking you can make some very nice loop hikes! |
