Applications
Needed:
NOTE: Before you run
DVDBackup, you must first run Apple DVD Player and have it access the DVD. Then
quit the program before you continue on.
1. Open DVDBackup 1.3 and drag your mounted DVD to the left window.
2. Next Simply click the Process Files button on the bottom right of the
window. When the Save window comes up, make sure to select the create VIDEO_TS
option.
(my recommendation
is to have created a new folder on your desktop that reflects the dvd name and
the fact that this is the backup file)
For example, “Two Weeks Notice Backup”
then save the VIDEO_TS folder in that folder.
1.Open DVD2ONE. Click the Select button next to the source
box and find the VIDEO_TS folder you just created using DVDBackup.
2. Choose USER
DEFINED instead of DVD-RW and type in the value of 4444. This ensures that this VIDEO_TS folder will
fit on any dvd-r, as not all will hold the default file size!!! (saves you the
headache of guessing)
2. Next Decide on MOVIE ONLY or DISK COPY. Movie Only does just that, only the
movie, quality is slightly higher. Disk
copy copies the entire disk, menus’s and extras.
3. If you want only
the movie set the Copy Mode to MOVIE ONLY, then click the Audio and Subtitles
button on the bottom left of the window and select the audio and subtitle
tracks you want included in the movie.
4. If you decide you want the entire disk copied as it presented on the DVD,
change copy mode to DISK COPY and select the audio streams you would like
included on your disk
5. Click Start. I suggest creating
another folder on yoru desktop that reflects the dvd name and the fact that this
is the copy that dvd2one makes. For
example, “Two Weeks Notice DVD21” that way you know which VIDEO_TS is the
smaller one, and the one to be burned.
1. The Easiest way
to do this is to create a folder with the name of the dvd, make sure that it is
in all capitol letters and _ for spaces. Example TWO_WEEKS_NOTICE
2. Next move your DVD2One created VIDEO_TS folder into this folder
3. Now create a new folder and rename it AUDIO_TS, and also place it into the
folder which has the DVD name. (such
that your DVD named folder has two folder in it, 1 = AUDIO_TS, 2 = VIDEO_TS
4. Next Launch the Toast Titanium Program and select the DVD option under the
other tab
5. Now drag your DVD named folder containing the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders
into the Toast window. Check the
folder contents in toast using the arrows to open each folder. Look particularly for files such as
.DS_STORE which is a OSX invisible file.
If present, use TOAST’S clear function to remove that file.
6. If done properly Toast should have created a new DVD bearing the name of the
main folder you had and containing the video and audio folders.
Which will appear
like this
DVD_NAME (Example
TWO_WEEKS_NOTICE)
VIDEO_TS
VIDEO_TS.IFO….(and
all the others, .BUP, .VOB….).
AUDIO_TS
7. Now Burn and
Enjoy.
