Orvieto
Our enchanting hill-town lunch stop in central Italy on the way from Rome to the Cinque Terre. Wandered shady alleys with animated locals and visitors. Marveled at the striking Piazza Duomo cathedral, built in 1330.
Looked down on an Orvieto vineyard with a living watercolor of fruit (and bread and cheese) in the foreground. Orvieto wine has since been on our Italian restaurant table in West Seattle, with Bruce and Lisa.
