Warning to Writing Resources users: Several pages are not
working properly in Internet Explorer and Opera; they're working fine in
Firefox. The affected pages are Creativity Resources, Writing Process,
Action Writing, Reference Sources, Word Links and Word Play. I
apologize for this mess and am trying to correct it. Grammar Guides, Style and
Usage, Fat-Free Writing, and Plain Language are not affected. All other
sections of Garbl's Writing Center are also not affected.
I can't endorse all the standards, guidelines and links on
websites in this free annotated directory. But I'm sure you will find many
sites that are useful, interesting and even fun. One of the "101 Best Web
Sites for Writers"--Writer's Digest in 2001 and 2000.
Although I may not respond, you may contact me to recommend a Web
site that could fit in one of the categories of Garbl's Writing Resources
Online. It should provide a substantial amount of free, useful information and
advice about writing. I will determine if the site meets my standards. No
compensation or reciprocal link is required, though I appreciate links to my
sites.
Check out Garbl'd Thoughts, a blog of my
life's focus: creating quality communication. From writing
and editing in plain English to making music and taking
photographs. From promoting citizen action to promoting
nonprofit services. From traveling in other cultures to
advocating progressive ideals in my own. From bonding with family
to connecting with friends. From sharing with you and
learning from you.

This page updated April 10, 2012. I try to make sure all the
hyperlinks in this website are up-to-date, but if you find a broken link,
please let me know. Also, whatever their acclaim and position, all writers need
editors. I don't have one for Garbl's Writing Resources Online, so if
you spot a typo, unclear message or possible error, please tell me.
Sites listed in Garbl's Writing Resources Online must
provide a substantial amount of free advice and information about writing, as
determined by Garbl The
Webmaster. No compensation or reciprocal link is required for a listing. Of
course, other websites are welcome to link to Garbl's Writing Resources
Online--or any of its pages. Acknowledgment appreciated.

page, website listings do not signify endorsements of fee-based services,
products or programs. Besides expressions of appreciation by site visitors, my
only compensation for maintaining this labor of love is the infrequent
commissions paid by Amazon.com for items bought through this website.
