A buddy of mine is going through some nasty legal problems. I think he was somewhat in shock still yesterday because he would say to pretty much anyone "I'm being sued." While I will not give details, suffice it to say the case against him is mostly bogus and based out of greed and spite. I know the person who is suing him too, and that person ain't no treat, and is full of shit, to put it bluntly. In fact, I don't think I've known a more unpleasant person in my life. I'm sure I've met a few, but my discretion usually keeps me safe from such creeps.

In all it is a pretty bad situation for my buddy, but ultimately I think it is better since it now has gone to the law and there are many protections from harassment implicit in the system. I certainly don't think my faith in the legal system is misplaced, but this case will be a test of that too.

You know, Richelle got me thinking. She is the one who responds with a variety of correspondent names. The latest being farmspawn. It is difficult to be unserious in a serious world, I suppose, but I generally it is futilesome try.

I take her comment as a challenge, however. Perhaps I could convert $20 into some astronomical sum at Wendover. Hell, I just got $98.70 from a class action suit today. That makes about $150.00 from various ones I've been a class member of this year. My gambling return on that is not so good, however.

Georgia Tech ain't doing so good, by the way. That's why I'm writing.
