"Like a whipcrack sending me shivers" I got home late and Beck's Odelay has apparently been playing for quite some time, as far as I can tell. No one was home save housemate Lucas who was taking a post Snowbird multi-hour nap; everyone else was at work. So I assume the cat had been cold rocking it to Beck's song stylings all afternoon and evening. He seems bemused by it, having found a stray throat lozenge to throw in the air to the beat, and he caterwauls occasionally quite on key. Now I got home late, made dinner, did some reading and all the time it was still going. Every time I thought to change the CD or at least add more to the changer, whatever song happened to be playing made me sing along to it, and when you're singing along with a CD, you just can't change it now can you?. I suppose I could always go for an all night Beckathon. I have pretty much everything there is to Beck including various bootlegs of some cold rocking it live shows and even his Futurama episode. Even the less-appealing Midnite Vultures sounds appealing right now:
Her left eye is lazy Something like that, anyway. I like the words lozenge and caterwaul. I used to snap the occasional idiotic picture with it and let it all go from there. Now that I'm an unfirmly entrenched Sugarite with a computer that is right by a window, I decided to aim it out and let you peruse what is going on. Now, of course, I just did this to let you watch it snow last weekend, but now I've decided that there is some art to this. I'm not sure what that art entails, but we shall see. We shall see. Welcome to the Sugar Cam. I will warn you that it is a piece of shit cheapo cam that has a hard time with natural sunlight--and I am a real big fan of unnatural sunlight myself--so it is apt to wash out in the middle of the day. I think of it as a vampire: it tries to feed on the images of happy-go-lucky suburbarama, but can't do it in the day light. Enjoy twilight and interesting night pictures, folks. It updates ever 30 minutes. Oh did I mention that Santa is in his Sugar House from 3 to 8 pm Monday through Thursday? Its an actual sign, kids. I'll take a picture of it if I remember. Days like this make you just want to stay in the shower and pretend it away. For those of you not in Utah and those who are bereft of snow, please be my guest and watch the snow:
