"Where the treetops glisten and children listen"

HOLIDAY GEAR-UPOf all the things I like about living in the West I think I like the snow the best. There is much one can do with snow as a kid or as an adult; it is like nature's Play-Do and, for now, it is all free.

If I had the kiddish gumption I'd build a snow fort or something like that out where the camera looks.

That funky monkey

I hadn't realized how much stress I have been placing on myself these last few months until yesterday when, quite literally, for the first time in months I had absolutely nothing to do. Procrastination only works when you have lots to do, so I was actually somewhat productive yesterday, despite having to wait around for FedEx to deliver a package.

It is nice to be here at home at 9:00 am.

Improving Environmental Performance at Lower Cost Using Market-Based Mechanisms That Create Incentives for Innovation

Well I suppose that the fog we've been having here in good old SLC isn't really fog but more a dangerous mix of various chemicals produced by cars, but like so many things these days, perhaps all one can do is make the best of it and realize that it could be a lot worse: back in the early-end to middle coal-burning early 20th Century it was not uncommon for SLC to experience months of black sooty inversions where anything and everything took on a nice unhealthy pallor of purest grey. Even the famous fog of London is now known to be pretty much pollution-caused.

Clear Skies, eh? Indeed.
