2010 Tournament Reports
2-Day - August 7-8, 2010Michael Vining Wins the Division 2 Championship
From Division 2 (New Hampshire) August 7-8,
2010 Michael Vining from Woburn, Massachusetts is one step closer to
the ABA National Championship
with a 1st Place win and $392 at the American Fishing
Tour 2-day division championship bass tournament held on Northwood and
Bow Lakes this past weekend. Mike’s 2 day of 10 bass weighed in at
37.00 pounds. Mike set the stage for his win with an impressive 20.52
pounds on day one and then followed it up with 16.48 pounds on day
two. Second place went to Don Mayer with a weight of 18.66 pounds and
in third place was Warren Mills
with a weight of 17.66 pounds. Big bass was awarded was to
Michael Vining for catching a 6.09 pound largemouth on day 1. Dan
Jones caught a 2.36 pound smallmouth to win the split lunker.

These anglers acquired valuable points to
insure their birth in the American Fishing Tour National Championship
that will be held this fall. Their
points were also being used to determine the divisional angler of the
year. The top angler by points earned in this division will represent
the division in the Angler of the Year final round.
Mike secured the Division 2 Angler of the
Year title with this impressive win. Mike was awarded a
Lock-n-Haul® for his winning efforts during the year. The top anglers were:

Conditions:
After a chilly morning start with temperatures in the low 50s both
days, the anglers were eventually greeted with seasonable temperatures
in the 70s and low 80s making for comfortable conditions on the water.
The water temperature was around 74-76 degrees.
Winning Strategy:
Mike targeted traditional largemouth areas with swimbaits and jigs.
Next Divisional Tournament:
This division’s next 1-day tournament for the 2011 season will be
Saturday September 25 on Pawtuckaway Lake at the state ramp. Boats are
limited, so please register early. Division 2 is locally sponsored by

All About American Bass Anglers Ossipee - August 1, 2010Jim McGuire Takes First Place at Ossipee From Division 2 (New Hampshire) August 1, 2010 Jim McGuire from Dracut, Massachusetts is one step closer to the ABA National Championship with a 1st Place win and $220 at the American Fishing Tour bass tournament held on Ossipee Lake this past weekend. Jim’s 5 bass limit weighed in at 10.10 pounds. Second place went to Don Conrad with a weight of 9.96 pounds and in third place was Warren Mills with a weight of 7.06 pounds.Place win and $303 at the American Fishing Tour bass tournament held on Northwood Lake this past weekend. Garry’s 5 bass limit weighed in at 12.88 pounds. Second place went to Scott Leavitt with a weight of 10.51 pounds and in third place was Warren Mills with a weight of 9.95 pounds. Big bass was awarded was to Warren Mills for catching a 4.19 pound largemouth.

Foggy conditions started the day eventually leading to warm temperatures
(upper-80s) and slightly windy with generally clear skies with a busy
weekend crowd on the water.
The water temperature was around 74-76 degrees. Winning
Strategy:
Jim targeted shallow weeds and river mouths with various plastics. Next Divisional Tournament: This division’s 2-day tournament will be Saturday/Sunday August 7 and 8 on Northwood and Bow Lake at the town and state ramps. From Division 2 (New Hampshire) July 3, 2010 Garry Woodruff from
Candia, New Hampshire is one step closer to the
ABA National Championship
with a 1st Place win and $303 at the American Fishing Tour
bass tournament held on Northwood Lake this past weekend. Garry’s 5
bass limit weighed in at 12.88 pounds. Second place went to Scott
Leavitt with a weight of 10.51 pounds and in third place was Warren
Mills
with a weight of 9.95 pounds. Big bass was awarded was to Garry
Woodruff for catching a 4.08 pound largemouth.

busy July 4th crowd on the water.
The water temperature was around 74-76 degrees.
Winning Strategy: Garry used his
GRIZZ BAITS™
spinnerbait during practice to locate fish and eliminate areas of the
lake. During the tournament, he targeted shallow weeds with a wacky
worm and deeper structure and weeds with a drop shot.
Next Divisional Tournament:
This division’s next tournament will be Saturday July 25 on Bow Lake
at the state ramp. We expect another high weight shoot-out among the

From Division 2 (New Hampshire) June 26, 2010 Don Mayer from Bartlett,
New Hampshire is one step closer to the
ABA National Championship
with a 1st Place win and $360 the American Fishing Tour
bass tournament held on Great East Lake this past weekend. Don’s 3
bass limit weighed in at 9.20 pounds. Second place went to Michael
Vining with a weight of 9.00 pounds, third place was Jim McGuire
with a weight of 8.23 pounds. Big bass was awarded was to Don Mayer
for catching a 4.68 pound largemouth.

Warm (mid-80s) and windy with generally clear skies with a chance of
showers which fortunately never arrived.
The water temperature was around 74-76 degrees.
Winning Strategy:
Don targeted shallow weeds with various soft plastics, and was able to
get his kicker and lunker in the last half hour.
Next Divisional Tournament:
This division’s next tournament will be Saturday July 3 on Northwood
Lake at the town ramp. Divison 2 is locally sponsored by

bass tournament held on Milton 3-Ponds Lake this past weekend . Don’s
3 bass limit weighed in at 9.04 pounds. Second place went to Don
Conrad with a weight of 8.50 pounds, third place was Tom Sardinha
with
a weight of 8.41 pounds. Big bass was awarded was to Tom Sardinha for
catching a 3.95 pound largemouth.

of thunderstorms which fortunately never arrived.
The water temperature was around 74-75 degrees. Winning
Strategy:
Don targeted shallow weeds with various soft plastics and was able to
get his winning limit by 9:30. Next
Divisional Tournament: This division’s next tournament will be Saturday June 26
