Roman CoinsThe uncleaned coins for sale are similar to the coins seen in this scan. They were pulled randomly from the current lot. Sizes are from very tiny (about the size of a pencil eraser tip) to the size of a quarter. Most of the coins will be close to dime size.

The method of cleaning has a large impact on your results. Please refer to the cleaning instructions on my link above for help. Most of the coins will rate Fair to Fine after cleaning (refer to my grading link above). Some may approach very fine condition. All the broken, cracked and holed coins have been removed. It is normal for the coins to have small chips. I will not send anything that is obvious junk.

Most of these coins are from 250 A.D. to 450 A.D. The majority will be Roman Imperial and Roman Provincial. Some of the coins may be from the Byzantine Empire from approximately 500 A.D. to 1100 A.D. A few Greek coins may be in the mix which would be older. These coins were recovered from the former Yugoslavia (Moesia in ancient times).
