Some of our friends are still looking for answers, and it would be great if some of our other friends could provide them.  Would anyone care to comment on ProxyMed and how it works with MediSoft?   How about software to help design a superbill?  And there is still the question of whether employers are obligated to honor doctors' notes about time off work or limited duty.   We always appreciate your insights!

re:      Berkoplast

I did a yahoo search for a product I used many years ago called BERKOPLAST and your website came up. It is a silicone compound that can be used to make small custom devices to cushion bone prominences around the digits.

Do you know if it is still made and if so where I can get it?

Thank you,

re:      Ordering Brochures

Gayle,

Where do you get brochures that you hand out to patients in the office about products or procedures? You know when you go to a doctors office and there are free brochures for patients to read about a condition they have or a procedure that they are going to have. I have a doctor asking for them and I don't know where to tell him to get them.

Thanks!
Susan

re:      ASPMA Registration

Hi.

I am signing my husband up tonight for the APMA national meeting in Boston in August. Do I need to sign up for the ASPMA meeting that will be taking place then? How do I do that?

Thanks,

The Question:

From:  Chris Dysart
re:      Green-Waterman Procedure

I'm looking for the CPT code for a Green-Waterman Procedure.  Which code
should I be looking at, 28296?

Thanks!

The Answer:

Green-Waterman is I believe a correction of HAV with a metatarsal head osteotomy. This would be coded as a 28296.

Crystal-Clear Coding tips by Dr. Ward are posted on the FootZine web site on this page:
