My parents, Jack and Karal, are retired, and live in East Lansing, Michigan. Karal's mother, Luella, lives down the street. Both of my brothers work for the federal government in Washington, D.C. Paul works for the Environmental Protection Agency, and Alan works for the Department of Agriculture. Paul's wife, Jennifer, plays the harp and is a social worker. Paul and Jennifer have a son, my nephew Jason. Alan's wife, Arlyn, teaches Elementary School physical education. Alan and Arlyn have two children, my niece Lonnie and my nephew Aaron (all four constituting "The A Team"). I also have two cats, Nemo and Tasha.
