ABOUT OUR CLUB
The Webfooters conduct and participate in walks usually 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) in length. Distance may vary depending on the event and your capabilities. We are a Charter member of the American Volkssport Association (AVA). Our business meetings are held at The Old Town Hall, Wyoming, DE at 7 PM on the first Thursday of each month. Meetings are open to the public. Membership is open to everyone regardless of race, religion, age, gender, or national origin. Persons under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
THE PURPOSE OF THE CLUB IS TO PROVIDE NON-COMPETITIVE, FAMILY ORIENTED OUTDOOR EVENTS THAT PROMOTE FELLOWSHIP, PHYSICAL FITNESS, WELL-BEING, AND THE OPPORTUNITY FOR PEOPLE TO ACHIEVE INDIVIDUAL GOALS AND EARN AWARDS AS APPROVED BY THE IVV, AVA, AND THIS CLUB.Interested in membership? Click here.

YEAR ROUND EVENTS
The fee for IVV credit for all YR Events is now $3.00. The fee for A awards, if available is an additional $3.00. The fee for B awards, if available, is an additional $1.00.
LEWES, DE-10 KM WALK (Year Round) JAN 2, 2008-DEC 30, 2008-Starting Point-Lemon Tree Restaurant (Shoppes at Lewes), 416 E. Savannah Road, Lewes, DE. The restaurant hours are: Monday thru Wednesday 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, Thursday and Friday 6:30 am to 7:00 pm, Saturday 6:00 am to 7:00pm and Sunday 6:00 am to 3:00 pm. The trail is rated 1. It is suitable for wheel chairs and strollers. An "A" award is available. Check the AVA Website. The Lewes Year Round Event now qualifies for the LIGHTHOUSE PROGRAM, THE SPIRIT OF WALKING CEMETERY STROLLS and WALKING EUROPE IN THE US (Lewes, England). Don't forget to stamp your book.
REHOBOTH BEACH, DE- 10 KM WALK (Year Round) JAN 2 2008-DEC 30, 2008-Starting Point-The front desk of the Sussex YMCA. Ask for the WEBFOOTERS EVENT BOX at the front desk. The trail is rated 1+. It is suitable for wheel chairs and strollers. B awards are available. This walk is now included in the MICRO-BREWERY AND WINE PROGRAM sponsored by the Princeton Area Walkers. Look for the "Dogfish Head Brewery." More information on this walk is available on the AVA Website.

DOVER, DE - 10 KM WALK (Year Round) JAN 2, 2008-DEC 30, 2008--Starting Point-The Central Delaware YMCA, 1137 South State Street, Dover, DE. Ask at the reception desk for the WEBFOOTERS EVENT BOX. An A award is available. The award is a patch depicting the Old DE State House. The trail is rated 1+. It is suitable for wheelchairs and strollers. THE Dover Year Round Event now qualifiess for the STATES, STATE CAPITALS, COLLEGE WALKS, WALKING COURTHOUSES, USA, THE SPIRIT OF WALKING CEMETERY STROLLS and WALKING EUROPE IN THE US (Dover, England). Again, stamp your book. More information is available on the AVA Website.

KENT COUNTY GREENWAYS TRAIL, DELAWARE-10 KM WALK (Year Round) JAN 2, 2008-DED 30, 2008.-Starting Point-The Microtel Hotel near Dover, 1703 West Lebanon Road (Del Rt. 10), about 1/4 mile west of the Dover Air Force Base north gate and across the highway from the Best Western/Goose Creek Plaza shopping center. This is a new and scenic Year Round that follows the floodplaIn of the St. Jones River. This walk is flat terrain on a paved walkway. It is suitable for wheel chairs and Strollers. Trail is rated 1. This Year Round also qualifies for EUROPE IN THE USA, RIVER WALK AMERICA, AMERICAN AUTHORS & AMERICAN REVOLUTION programs.

CLUB MEMBERS: Hope you are all enjoying your Summer and getting in some great walking. Our next meeting will be at the usual site (The Wyoming Old Town Hall) at 7 pm on September 4, 2008. The time is here to start planning the “Sea Witch and Fiddler’s Festival” Walks on October 25 and 26.
