On this page, I will share good reading stuff, I've found...on religion and philosophy. With a description in my own words on some of the material in the books, I hope you enjoy.

A favorite reading of mine is Conversations with God, it is a trilogy (books one, two and three) I highly recommend these books to anyone, (soul searching, looking for answers, or just trying to understand themselves better) Book one, goes into personal identity and responsibility, our relationship to others and ourselves and of course to The Creator. These books are not for the people who have a closed mind, or a heart full of fear.

I've recently discovered a new book by Neale Donald Walsch, (author of the books mentioned above). It's called 'Friendship with God'. Once again, it is a book i can and do highly recommend. It goes into, as the title implies, how to have a friendship with God. This is, again, a very inspiring book. What wonderful changes could be brought into this world, if we could/would all follow the advice in this and the other books.
One thing that really caught my attention was God's reference to the golden rule (Do unto others, as you would have them do unto you.) S/He put a twist to it. The 'new gospel' is that 'WE ARE ALL ONE'. Therefore, following that train of thought, what you do unto your fellow man (or brother) you DO do unto yourself. Scary thought, to some, i'm sure, given the attitude of greed and pointing fingers to discredit others, that is so popular in our culture. What if we really started 'NOT' doing things to others that we would 'NOT' want done to us? Or perhaps put another way, if we really did 'FOLLOW' Jesus example of how to act, how to be, how to relate to one another....not just giving it lip service.....Like, i believe in Jesus....but, this is not witnessed by how you treat your fellow man (human). Do you really believe in Him, or do you just think that's a nice way to live? If you believe in something, or someone, they become your hero, and you try to emulate their behavior, yes?

I recently received an email from a friend that inspired me to create two new pages to flow with my philosphy page. It was titled "Instructions for Life" and referenced The Dalai Lama. As i had no idea who that was, i looked him up in my encyclopedia, creating a page of a brief description of who the Dalai Lama is. And, LIFE, the page 'The Dalai Lama on the millennium ' ,from the email sent to me. I hope you enjoy the two new pages.

I have since read "Communion with God", also a great book, do yourself a favor and read it (smile).
