We took this tour for several reasons. We visited China in 1982 as part of a larger packaged tour, and wanted to go back to see some of the places we missed. Also, with Paul's interest in dams (author of Grand Coulee, Harnessing a Dream, 1994) he wanted to see the Three Gorges Dam on the Yankze River while it was in progress, and we wanted to see the famous Three Gorges before they are flooded. This was a great tour and happily we saw the things we wanted.
