I suggest that you touch (click) each artifact in order. There was a reason why the objects were set where they were in the overall relationship to the Presence of God. As you do, you will see a scene from the AVI that places that artifact in context. Also there will be a brief explanation of that piece and what it meant, and how it affects us TODAY.
The Courtyard of the Gentiles
This is the outer fence and the first step into the Tabernacle and the Presence of God.
The Altar
This was made of wood covered with bronze, about 7.5 feet square and 4.5 feet high. The pieces in each corner were called the "horns"
This is the place of sacrifice.
The Laver
or washing bowl for the priests, it must have been large, was made of bronze, and could be separated from its stand.
It's place was outside the entrance into the tabernacle itself, no one could enter without ceremonial washing first. It was cast from the bronze of the mirrors of Israelite women.
The Tabernacle
This was the "tent of Meeting" Where the rest of the artifacts were housed. The Dwelling place of God.
The Lampstand
The Golden Lampstand in the Holy Place. All channels fed from the central branch. It was believed to be as high as a man is tall.
The Table
The tabel of Shewbread. This was where the offerings of bread "grain" and fruit of the vine "wine" would be placed for use by the priests of Israel.
Incense Alter
This is the golden Alter of Incense that sits before the curtain that divides the Holy place from the Most Holy Place, the Holy of Holies where the Ark of the covenant was kept. Incense burnt here 24 hours a day, representing the prayers of believers.
Notice the rings in the side, many of the pieces will have them. Long gold covered wooden rods were placed through them and they would be carried this way.
The Curtain
This was the last barrier between God and man. It divided the Holy Place, from the Holy of Holies.
The Ark of the Covenant
The Last and most holy of the artifacts. Inside, treasures, on the cover, the "mercy seat".
