What is Darkness Falls?

My partner and I attended, back in 2003, several sexual events in the Mission called "Darkness Falls."  They were essentially an experiment in anonymous sexual connection.  If you were there, you know what I'm talking about.  If you weren't, well, imagine a room so dark you can not see your own hand in front of your face, cool music, and a background of hushed voices, moans of pleasure, and bodies crawling over other bodies.  Couples entered through an undressing area that was dark also, so the whole event was anonymous start to finish.  Condoms and lube were within an arm's reach (glow tape.)  As people crawled over others, or reached to caress a leg, arm, thigh, face, or groin, it would take a moment for you to know the gender of the person your were touching.  People declined advances by removing the person's hand from their body and /or whispering "busy.” There was a system to report a person disrespecting a "no," (glow-paint) so people were well behaved.  It was couples only, and of course it was about tactile connection rather than looks or personality, hence the "experiment."

We will be putting on "Darkness Falls Returns" in XXXX.  (The original organizer, “S” is not behind Darkness Falls Returns.)

Why:  Because it’s a once in a lifetime experience!

What will you find:

There is a lobby area for check-in, secure clothes check, provided munchies, water, juice, music.  You may choose to not linger in this area if you wish 100% anonymity, though guests will return to our lobby for a breather, chill-out, and appetizers and drinks.  The Dark Room is large, with pads, buckets with condoms/lube, and background music.

How to Attend:

1. Send Your names, ages, and the city (s) in which you live to :  DarknessFallsReturnsReturns@gmail.com

2. Wait for further notice regarding date and time.

3. You will then be notified again with contact information for a short screening interview.

     Men may not attend with a woman they met just for DFRR.

· We screen the couples with an interview. Usually by phone, sometimes in person. The purpose is only to establish that each couple is not in a new sexual relationship, and that both are open to sexual encounters with others. (We’ve had people advertise for partners on CL for our event) We don’t care about your looks or personality. Really.

· Although you may be anonymous to the other guests, you will not be anonymous to DFRR staff. That’s so that we know that the guests that arrive are the ones we screened. Also, the event is safer from misbehavior if we can identify a guest as needed. 

· Single women are welcome. Male/Male couples are not invited because we want to gender balance for the breeders and you guys already have way more fun at far more venues.
