Oval port allows highest floor for better short side radius.
Chamber mods to Prince squish heads.
Heads are 6063. New parts are 6061. These parts were welded with 4043 rod. Chamber was welded with 4008. Heat treated back to T6.

4340 heat treated. 4340 rods, INA bearings.
Welds dressed up ready for final machining. If I knew it would be this much work, I would have made them from scratch.
Rocker tunnels are raised to make room for the guides.

Early in 2002, Steve Hamel began building a Vincent motorcycle to challenge the speed record set by Rollie Free at the Bonneville Salt Flats in 1948. Follow the story of Steve's quest right here on this site. The record attempt will be made during Speed Week 2004.
