Gecadero's Midi

George Cadero

About Me:
I live in the Pacific Northwest. My grandparents (Cordeiro) sailed from Portugal (Azores) in the 1880's, although I've never been to Portugal myself. My hobbies are personal computers and music. I also play the Guitar and had my own Band back in the 70s. I owe my familiarity with older songs from the 40s and before to my dear Mother who played the piano quite well in spite of her arthritis. I remember hearing many older tunes as a child. Which brings me to midi. I love midi, it is the vehicle that allows me to create the songs I have learned in over 50 years of singing songs and playing the guitar. Life for me would be incomplete if not for midi. Hope you enjoy Gecadero's Midi.

What I do:
Retired from State of Washington, USA, Employment Security Department. Some Computer and Internet Consulting. I have a BA in Economics/Business from Western Washington University. One of my hobbies is computers, constructing and using them; my computer knowledge is generally self-taught, been into computers since 1988. My first computer was a PC/XT IBM compatible, no hard disk (Oh, those were the days)! So I've really grown up with computers as we know them today.

My Philosophy:
Like the saying goes, "life is a beach," or something like that. You get out of life what you put into it. Lots of luck helps, but don't count on it. Remember, your glass is half full, not half empty. No matter how bad things may seem, they can always be worse. Reminds me of the guy walking down the sidewalk, all depressed because he had no shoes; then he noticed a man sitting on the curb who had no feet. There are times in life you will be fortunate, and other times you will be victimized; greed runs rampant, and life can often be unfair. But keep your chin up and enjoy the moment. It'll all come out in the wash.
