A Personal Experience
Over a Lifetime
I'm a lifelong runner who began running in the Fall cross country season of ninth grade way back in 1960. Over the years I've run just about every event in track and field and road racing up to the marathon. Now beginning my fifth decade of running I've cut back my racing schedule and run more for the pure joy of it. In addition I've begun to place some of my experiences and thoughts on paper. Perhaps some of these personal accounts will help others avoid some of the many mistakes I've made in my career, and if not, at least amuse, encourage or entertain the reader.
