Franciscan Sisters of Divine Providence, Tlalixtaquilla, Mexico

These Sisters are working at building a motherhouse/convent to serve the poor in their community in southern Mexico Map.

The motherhouse/convent concrete shell is mostly completed, except for the doors and windows.

Most recently and urgently, the septic system in their living quarters failed, so all 9 of the sisters have had to move into this unfinished new convent. There are no doors nor windows. They urgently need help to complete this convent. Many local women come seeking a religious life, but must be turned away until the building is finished, when it will have room for 80 sisters.

The Sisters' kitchen is not finished, so this is their "dishwasher". Notice that the windows are simply openings without glass.

Jesus would help them, can you?

It is estimated that about $40,000 is still needed to complete the motherhouse/convent.

Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary (St. Mary's) church in York, PA  has helped Sister Carmen with various fund-raisers totalling about $40,000.

Any donation will be greatly appreciated by the Sisters and St. Mary's
