Windsurfing 2004

1-30-04 Sailed Los Barriles (Baja) 5.0 on JP 77 F/W. Janices Birthday! she sailed 5.0 on JP 98 F/W. Went right from the airport to the water. NICE!!! Big rolling swell on the outside. Sunny & warm.

2-1-04 (Baja) Sailed 5.8 on JP 111 Freestyle. Janice 5.8 on F2 Style 105. Not super powered but great to be warm and in such cool place. Vela Rocks. Great gear and staff in an unreal beach front location.

2-5-04 (Baja) Sailed 5.8 on JP 101 Freestyle Powered up most of the time. Janice 5.8 on JP freeride 104. Warm up day for big Friday according to Vela staff. Tons of life in the water.

2-6-04 (Baja) started out on a 5.4 on a JP 101 Freestyle and ended up on a 4.7 on a JP F/W 84. Janice 5.0 on the JP Super-X 103. Killer down the line wave ride? With a huge swell on the outside. NICE!

3-6-04 Sailed West Dennis 4.7 on F2 Style 250. With Peter, Luke, Fred, Ken & Suzie. Pea-soup fog but good wind. The water did not feel that bad. I did not get cold at all.

3-12-04 Sailed Bayview 4.2 on Style 250. With Peter and Paul. Good port ramps and ok on shore wave riding. We de-rigged in a full white out snow squall.

3-15-04 Sailed West Dennis 5.2 on Style 250. With Peter and the Russian dude. Good ramps out at the rocks a little on the up and down side but still fun.

3-28-04 Sailed the Cut. 4.2 (new 2004 Ezzy) on Style 250. With Peter, Paul and Fred. Just a full on ripping playground. Huge waves outside and flat water speed inside. I did my best Vulcan ever!!!

4-10-04 Sailed West Dennis 5.2 on Style 250. With Peter 5.2 on JP 84. Sailed with out gloves. Sunny and nice. WD has been taken over by the kiting crew!!!

4-14-04Sailed 5.2 on Style 250 at Friscowoods Campground Cape Hatteras NC. Janice 5.3 on her new Super X 93 after driving all night to get there. West wind.

4-15-04 Three session day at the Campground. 4.2 morning, 5.2 mid-day and then 4.2 late afternoon. Bill and Deb made it down and Bill hit the water on his 5.0. Nice

4-18-04 Sailed Ego Beach 5.2 on Style 250. Bill 5.7 on his RRD. Kevin 5.7 on Axis. Nice waves with some head high sets. Bill trashed his 5.7 in the waves and then swam for a half hour.

4-19-04 Sailed 5.2 on Style 250 at Friscowoods Campground Bill 5.0 and Janice 5.3. Worked on grubbies, not that easy!!! Sunny and warm again.

4-21-04 Sailed 5.2 on Style 250 at Friscowoods Campground Bill 5.0 and Janice 5.3. Once again a nice warm day!!

4-23-04 Sailed 5.2 on Style 250 at Friscowoods Campground Bill 5.0 and Janice 5.3. Evening session was the best part just the three of us!!!!

4-29-04 Sailed Forest Beach 4.7 on Style 250. Janice 4.8 on Super X. Peter on a 4.7 launching, Paul on his new 5.4 and Gill. Sunny with nice ramps.

6-21-04 Sailed Forest Beach 4.7 on Style Janice 4.8 on super-X nice session!!! The log is back!!!!

6-27-04 Ripping 5.2 day with Janice managing to hold on to her 5.3 longer than she should have at Forest. We should have rigged down to our 4.7's. My NP boom broke in half! Good gang lots of fun! Loops!!!

7-13-04 Sailed West Dennis 5.2 with Peter on a 5.2 and Mike on a 5.7. Fun morning session tried two back loops after seeing Peter go for one. Nice classic session.

8-10-04 Sailed West Dennis 5.2 with Janice 5.3 (nice jibes Janice) and peter 5.2. A little up and down but nice to be on windsurfing gear finally. Terrible summer for wind!!!!

8-21-04 Sailed Forest Beach 4.7 could have been on a 4.2 all day! Janice started on a 4.0 and ended on a 3.5. Charlie Reeves is in town and brings good wind! Best windsurfing day of the year so far on Cape!!

8-24-04 Sailed Bayview 5.2 first thing in the morning with Peter and Mike. Nice to sail the North shore in a shorty. Nice waves setting up. sunny.

8-27-04 Sailed Forest Beach and over to Mono-maui with Peter. Really nice over at Mono-maui, clear clean water, better wind and good waves. Fun session!!!

Kiteboarding 2004

2-(3/5/6)-04 kited (Baja) Los Barriles three times on my 16.5 and G-drive 151. Not great a little under powered. Good to be in the warm water. Fun in the sun is all good.

3-26-04 Kited the Cut 16.5 on 151 G-Drive. With Luke and Barry. Fully powered and tea bagging it at times. Luke was first to kite the Cut this year.Barry nailing back loops. Great to be back on the water.

4-7-04 Kited west Dennis 12 on G-Drive 151. wind died so I went on Peters JP 101 freestyle board. Strange but it worked. Look for more of this activity in the future. Wind filled back in for 1/2 hour.

4-16-04 Kited Friscowoods Campground 16.5 on G-Drive 151. Good morning solo session before WindFest started. Sunny and warm. See photo above.

4-17-04 Kited from the Izzy break they closed off to Friscowoods Campground 16.5 on G-Drive 151. With Billy Boy 16 and Paul 17.( good job guys!) Sweet down winder and off to the board toss.

4-20-04 Kited Friscowoods Campground 16.5 on G-Drive 151. Billy 16. Light wind but still fun Bill had to stay up wind the old fashion way.

4-22-04 Kited from the Izzy break they closed off to Friscowoods Campground 16.5 on G-Drive 151. Bill 16.Then 12 at J& M's house in Avon. Scarry launch sea walls docks and houses.

4-30-04 Kited Hardings Beach 12 on G-Drive 151 with Angry-Man on his 17. light at times and then super litt over at the flats. Angry is throwing it down with his spinny twisties.

Took May and most of June off from the log but now I am back!! Been kiting a ton!! Sunday 6-20-04 kited three towns in one day! Truro,Welfleet and Chatham. Waves to flat water and everything in between.

6-26-04 Sunset surprise session with BB. 12 M kites at Hardings. Great way to end a great day! Packed up the gear got in the van and it started raining, timing is everything!!

6-29-04 Hardings Beach 12m sesh. BB, Luke & Angry. Went over to the flats and did some opossum jumping. strange wind and current. If it was not for Mr Opossum and Luke's cold beer it would have been lame.

6-30-04 Forest 16.5m. Luke, BB, Jeff & Angry. Janice & Des on classic but the wind dropped. Nice to get in the water. Last day in June bring on July!!

7-1-04 Forest to the Cut down winder on my 12m, Barry on his 13m. Fastest kite speed run ever!! High fiving kids on the sandbar. Mat's picked us up with cold beer! Great session!! Really low tide.

7-7-04 Kited at South Village in WD on Phil's 14 Fifth element North Kite. Fun little session did not have to rig or de-rig. Thanks Phil.

7-10-04 Kited Forest on my 16.5 terrible start blew my self launch then hooked my lines up wrong???? What was I thinking! Luke on his 18 Holy on her 14 and Des on her 6.2 classic. Nice sunset session.

7-15-04 Kited Forest and over to the flats 12m with Luke, Barry and Jeff. Des on her 5.7 classic gear. Lighter wind at the flats??? Strange. Fish tacos and Angry heads East for a super burger.

7-16-04 Down winder from Forest to the Cut, 12m with Holy, Barry and Matt Eddy. Crossed over to the ocean well south for some wave riding. Barry ditches his kite in the middle of 300 seals. Sweet!!

7-24-04 Kited Chapin Beach 12m way powered up until I was blown off the water. Players Peter on classic gear, Holy on her 11.5 and Todd on a 14? WTF? fun in the waves but choppy on the inside

7-25-04 Killer 16.5 session at the Cut with Barry. Super slick of all times!!! Around and around the middle bar until we ran out of water. Then ended the session minutes before getting parking tickets, SWEET!

7-30-04 Kited the Outer Baech for the first time. 16.5 m kite, really fun!! Side off wind made it great in the waves but a little sketchy.

7-31-04 Kited Forest beach all the way up wind to Allen Harbor in Harwich Port to say hello to Jon and Maria. fun up winder and a sweet down winder. 12m kite nicely powered.

8-1-04 Big up-winder and down winder from Forest Beach to Monomoy break. Through the break and whiteyville then down wind on the outside to the Cut, with Luke, Angry & Timmy. Nice!

8-5-04 Went North to Lake Nippissing to kite with my Bro Billy Boy. Kited at a nice little resort in a sandy bay now known as Death Bay. Docks, rocks, powerlines but some nice little waves to slash! Fun!!

8-11-04 Kited 16.5 from Hardings to the flats and into Stage Harbor with Angry. Then Luke jioned us from Forest Beach. Super powered on the mega slick in Stage Harbor. Kited until sunset.

8-13-04 (Friday the 13th) Kited the Cut with Angry and Luke on no wind but we were powered on our 16 and 17 kites??? Foggy, glassy and sealy. Quote from Luke "Are we in Heaven?" JE " I think so!"

8-14-04 Kited The outer Beach in nice chest high waves on my 16.5. Side-off wind rules for wave riding!! Glassy faces that you can power down the line hitting section after section. Barry joined in the fun.

8-15-04 Kited the Cut on my 16.5 with Barry on his 17. NNW wind, side-off, super gusty and out going tide. My kite fell out of the sky twice. " Barry this sucks!!!" NNW is cancelled at the Cut!

8-20-04 Kited Hardings beach and over to the flats with Timmy and Angry 12 M kites. Then I did a solo to the Ridgevale mini-slick. The fog was so thick you could barely see your own kite at times!

8-23-04 Kited the Cut 12M with Barry. WSW wind made it very off-shore. Fun but strange. I crashed my kite and was very glad to have it relaunch! Seals and sharks everywhere!!!

8-28-04 Kited Forest Beach 12M hot and sunny trunked it! Jason tried windsurfing on a short-board. Good jumping in shallow water. Sweet!

Surfing 2004

Surfed out on Mathas Vineyard in May not sure of the date but it was sweet!!! Just me and Jeff had the break all to our selves.

7-3-04 Surfed the Outer Beach at turnout 4. With Peter K, Luke and Mat's. Knee high waves but the clean, crystal clear water made it really nice to get wet!!!

7-29-04 Surfed the Outer Beach at turn out 2 after work. Nice little waist high waves. Surfed with Peter, luke and Des, Barry & Mike. The water was so clean and refreshing!! Cold Coronas and headed home.

7-30-04 Surfed the Outer Beach at turn out 2 after work. Nice little knee high waves. Small but fun with Luke and Des, Mike L, and Matt Eddy.

8-14-04 Surfed the Outer Beach at turn out 3.5 with Jeff from the Vineyard, Luke, Peter,Mattoo, Barry and Matt W. Nice chest high long board waves. Not much punch but good rides had by all.
