Convert for Windows Information
Convert for Windows is an exceptionally flexible and configurable units conversion calculator for Windows. Like any such utility it can do all the usual conversions such as miles to feet and kilograms to pounds but Convert does much more plus it lets you easily adapt the program to your needs.
Here are just a few of the features and capabilities offered by Convert:
- User-modifiable data files. If you need some unusual industry-specific units or if you'd prefer to tailor the program to just handle a few common conversions that you use all the time, Convert 's the program for you. The data file used by the program for its conversions is fully documented and easy to modify. (The standard data file is quite comprehensive.)
- Copy and Paste buttons for chaining calculations or moving results to a Windows calculator.
- Automatic or user-selectable handling of decimal and exponential/scientific notation.
- Many additional ease-of-use features such as stored defaults for window location and the last conversion used.
- A new InfoWindow which can (optionally) be used to display interesting background information about many of the available units. This file is user-modifiable also and will continue to be expanded.
