Marsha lives in Harford County,
Maryland, with her husband and young son. All three share
an avid
interest in observing and identifying birds in their natural
habitat, which they enjoy doing in their wooded surroundings
and "bird friendly" environment. It was only
natural for Marsha, who is very creative, to try her hand
at carving birds. She began attending carving classes
weekly, and during the past 4 years has carved and painted
some truly beautiful and painstakingly accurate water
birds. Her first bird was a Loon, which holds a special
place, in part, because it was her first. Marsha, during
the past 4 years, has entered 6 carving competitions,
in Ocean City, and Havre de Grace, Maryland, and has won
ribbons in them all. Shown here are a few of her favorite
carvings.
The Wood Duck
Marsha's holding won 2 first place ribbons at the Havre
de Grace, Maryland competition in May, 2002.
Shown below is a sampling
of Marsha's carvings.
