| Lots of good looking food in the store front windows. Anyone for a sausage? | I could live on bread alone. |

|
| The grain breads are great... | ...and so are the pretzels |

| Could this be a Cajun street band tuning up before their street concert. It looks as if the security people are close by to keep the street dancing to a minimum. | Nighttime in Altstadt. People are beginning to walk the streets. Actually, the big crowds are around the drinking booths of Gluhwein (spiced hot wine) and at the outside tables of many of the bars. |

| My first night's dinner was at the famous Brauerei Zum Schlussel in the heart of Altstadt where they make a famous Altbier (micro-beer) which receives many awards. 'Mmm, mmm good.' | It is like a typical German Ratskeller full of din and smoke but you get a great German meal and great beer to boot. |

| This is the brew station right in the restaurant | What do you know! I found a Dixieland Jazz Santa band performing in front of the Christmas Market at the Town Square. They sounded just like New Orleans. |
