On Saturday and Sunday, precisely at noon, the Big Easy Street Festival Parade marched down Vicorian Ave. Louisiana Sue (Ramon) the Director of Entertainment led the parade. Chief Takawaka and his band of musicians and street dancers bedazzled the crowd.

I hope his costume came with a built in air conditioning unit. His band got everyone in a festival musical mood.

Another marching band was the K-Street Ramblers playing their Dixieland music. The Birds of Paradise seemed cool in their befeatherd Casino de Paris costumes.

They threw beads and wiggled for the pleasure of the crowd. The parade brought people to main stage and dance floor where they got to meet each other.

As the bands took the stage the crowd grew. Soon people were dancing and camping in chairs that they brought or on the bleachers provided by the festival.
