| On Saturday and Sunday, precisely at noon, the Big Easy Street Festival Parade marched down Vicorian Ave. Louisiana Sue (Ramon) the Director of Entertainment led the parade. | Chief Takawaka and his band of musicians and street dancers bedazzled the crowd. |
| I hope his costume came with a built in air conditioning unit. | His band got everyone in a festival musical mood. |
| Another marching band was the K-Street Ramblers playing their Dixieland music. | The Birds of Paradise seemed cool in their befeatherd Casino de Paris costumes. |
| They threw beads and wiggled for the pleasure of the crowd. | The parade brought people to main stage and dance floor where they got to meet each other. |
| As the bands took the stage the crowd grew. | Soon people were dancing and camping in chairs that they brought or on the bleachers provided by the festival. |
