Welcome to Granite Hill Chinooks! Our family began our adventure with Chinooks in 2001 with our first Chinook, Cloudburst Kennebec River (Kenne). He has been so wonderful that we decided to share our lives with more. Rain Mountain Tatoosh joined our family in September 2003, followed by a Kennebec daughter, Balsam Ridge Akutaq, in September 2004. Three months later, GreatMountain X Tanacross joined our pack.

This site is dedicated to Hillary. 2/28/87 - 11/10/2000

  Hillary Anne was our first dog after we married.  She was our first baby.  Hillary loved to go down to the shore and chase sticks in the water and absolutely adored the boys after they were born.  She was the kindest and most gentle dog and the reason we eventually found the Chinook breed.   While searching for a family dog, we evaluated all breeds based on Hillary's attributes and the Chinook was the perfect match for our family. We miss you Hilly!
