Week 5 Pupdate
The pups are now 5 weeks old. They have had a busy week hosting multiple visitors and experiencing a variety of different environments. They are no longer in the x-pen outside and are happily exploring the property in its entirety. During the good weather this week, they spent time playing on the many apparatuses we have put out in the yard. Most of them especially like the tunnel and "pup" tent. This week they also had an invitation to join the big dogs in Kenne's Club House and had a marvelous time playing in the thick amounts of straw. Akutaq is still nursing them but a bit more reluctantly now that they have a full set of sharp teeth. Most of the nursing time is spent with Aku standing and the pups attached to her teats. All are inhaling their ground puppy food mixed with goat's milk. Sometime in the next few days we will introduce solid kibble that has been presoaked to help soften it.
