Several ODOM's from our fleet.

The ODOM (One Design One Meter) is a one-meter long boat that constitutes its own American Model Yachting Association (AMYA) class, one that is run by the ODOM Class Owners Association (COA).

Originally intended to be an entry level boat, The Odom has grown into one of the fastest growing one design classes in the country. It is being enjoyed by a wide range of skippers- from beginners to world class sailors.

Your finished boat will sail like a dream. She will heel at about 30 degrees in a two to ten knot breeze and point into the wind about 40 degrees, requiring almost no rudder input to stay on track. When you do steer the boat, you will find her to be very responsive to rudder inputs. Down wind running, wing and wing is very fast. She resists nose diving in strong wind puffs extremely well. Odom likes to be sailed in strong winds and has enough inertia to sail well through choppy water yet she's not too heavy to retard good acceleration in a puff.

The ODOM is one of the best buys in radio control model sailboats at $299.95. You can now order the ODOM with one or more construction options that will make the ODOM even easier to build.

Odom Basics:

bulletoverall length: 39 1/8"
bulletwaterline length: 38 1/4"
bulletdisplaces: 7 pounds (4 pound ballast)
bulletsail area (measured): 600 square inches.
bulletsail area (total): 750 square inches.

A complete sail away boat will cost you about $700.00 to build: Boat, Radio, Sails, and all the Extras.
