From the depths of the Chicago underground; Lost in Blue is an instrumental metal band that explores a variety of different genres while maintaining a distinctly dark and heavy sound. Always keeping in mind the importance of melody and song-writing, the band's mission is to create music that can be considered on the same level as their influences.

Originally formed in 1998, the band had trouble finding a voice that would help bring their music to a higher level, so the members decided to get there without one. Recording and performing since day one, the band has built up a sound over the years that has received both critical praise and a solid fan-base world-wide. Their consistent live shows also always leave audiences clamoring for more.

Musical influences are an eclectic mix including Japenese legends X-Japan, Seikima-II (pronounced Seikimatsu); classic 60's and 70's bands Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Genesis, King Crimson; death and black metal groups In Flames, Mayhem, Akercocke; and of course, the more 'traditional' metal bands such as Iron Maiden.
