Frankford Legion Opens Football Season October 3

To Play at Memorial Stadium, Wakeling and Large Sts.

Frankford Post 211, American Legion will open their football season, October 3 at the Frankford Memorial Stadium, Wakeling and Large sts., Frankford. Well known college stars of last year are being signed up by the Legion, a complete list of which will appear in next week's paper. A schedule, comprising teams familiar to Frankford fans will also be published next week.

The committee at Frankford Post in charge of football is composed entirely of Post members, many prominent in local football circles, is headed by Past Commander George A. Williams, as Chairman and includes the following; Howard Bowarker, "Bob" Remmey, Edward Winters, "Wally" Secrist, Dr. William Battersby, James Butterworth, Thomas Bethel, John W. Dubbs, William T. Jones, Ralph MacMurtrie, Clifford K. Fowler, R. C. Wheeler, Horace Lattimer, Samuel J. Murphy, William Knoor, Charles Begeley, William E. Hennefer and William D. Tyson. The medical staff is Thomas C. Ross, M. D., John V. Allen, Jr., M. D. and Raymond Blood, M. D.

Seats at the stadium will be priced at fifty cents with a reserved section at one dollar. Eight games will be played at the Memorial Stadium during October and November, the team traveling when not playing at home.

Anyone desiring information as to season tickets or anything pertaining to the team may write to the Football Committee, post 211, 4521 Paul street, Frankford and an effort will be made to comply with your request.
