Quakers Seeking Title Game With Frankford
Leo Conway, President of the Philadelphia Quakers, newly crowned champions of the American Professional Football League, last night issued a challenge to the Frankford Yellow Jackets of the National League, for a game to decide the Philadelphia professional football championship.
The wording of Conway's challenge as follows:
"In behalf of the Quakers, champions of the American League, I hereby formally challenge the Frankford Yellow Jackets, of the National League, to a game to determine the professional football championship of Philadelphia. I believe this game should be played, as local interest for both clubs demands it. We also challenge the winner of the National League championship.:
The game most likely will be played next month.
