"NIG" BERRY STARS IN SCRANTON WIN
All-American Frankford Line Spends Sunday Upstate
Under whatever flag the players forming the line of the Frankford Yellowjacket eleven this year loom as about the best combination of professional foot ball forwards in this part of the map.
The Lowe-Wray-Little-Miller-Spagna combination, reinforced by J. Howard Berry at quarterback, dazzled up-State fans yesterday under the guise of "Scranton All-Americans." The boys entertained a local team known as the All-Philadelphians, and scored a 42 to 7 victory.
Doc Elliot was at fullback for Scranton, and with Lehecka ands Berry as running mates, the scoring apparatus got going early in the second period. Elliot plunged over for the first score. Two minutes later Berry tossed a forward pass to Lehecka, and the former Lafayette luminary sprinted all the way across.
Four Svcranton-bred foot ballers broke into the lineup in the second half, and scored four more touchdowns.
