JOE EVANS NAMED YELLOWJACKET MANAGER
The Frankford Athletic Association on Thursday announced that "Shep" Royle, president, who also had been acting as manager of the Yellowjackets this year, has resigned the latter position and Joe Evans, publicity director, had been appointed to the post.
Royle was unable to devote the necessary time the position demands and will not be able to go west for two weeks with the team on Monday. Joe Evans has been connected with the F. A. A. for a long time. He has attended every drill for years and is thoroughly trained in football besides having been a member of the team. Evans will take charge at once and direct the club in the game this Saturday at the Phillies' Ball Park with the Providence Steam Roller.
One newcomer was signed on Wednesday -- he is Warner Mizell, halfback of Georrgia Tech. Mizell is regarded as a real triple threat and is the man wanted by coach Joesting. He can pass, run and kick. He was accorded a place on the All-Southern Conference eleven
