Diehl and Behman, of Frankford, Named on All-Star Pro Grid Team
Benny Friedman, Detroit Ace, Selected as Quarterback and Field General by Managers, Officials and Newspapermen
Columbus, O., Dec. 22. -- (AP) -- Benny Friedman, All-American quarterback from the University of Michigan, has landed another mythical "All-American" birth, it was announced today by the managers of the National Professional Football League.
The former Wolverine star quarterback has been selected quarterback of the post- graduate All-American team, composed of players in the National Football League. Managers, officials and newspapermen chose the mythical professional team and their choice of Freidman as the field general was virtually unanimous.
Like Friedman, most of the selections on the "post-graduate" team enjoyed a similar distinction when they were engaged in intercollegiate football. Friedman played the last season with the Detroit Wolverines.
Wally Diehl, plunging fullback, and Russ Behman, burly tackle of the Frankford Yellowjackets, were given places on the all-star team.
