YELLOW JACKETS WON'T PLAY HERE
Manager Evans Says Professional Foot Ball Team Will Travel For Rest of Season
The Philadelphia Yellow Jackets will finish their National Professional League foot ball schedule as a traveling team.
In making this announcement today, Manager Joe Evans said the Yellow Jackets played their last home game this season against the Portsmouth Spartans at the Phil's Ball Park last Saturday. The game scheduled against the Chicago Cardinals here this Saturday already has been canceled.
Joe F. Carr, of Columbus, O., president of the league, approved the Yellow Jackets' future plans when he attended the Portsmouth game and saw the small crowd on hand. Carr deemed it wise for the team to save money this year by traveling and to look for a new field for the 1932 campaign.
Meanwhile, Herb Joesting has kept the squad intact and will have the club at full strength against the New York Giants over on the Polo Grounds, next Sunday.
