OmegaWEAR is a company that produces helmets for mainstream use. It was founded in 2006 by six seniors at Columbia University.
Our goal at OmegaWEAR is to make non-motorized, recreational biking a safer practice for everyone. Our aim is the design of protection gear that effectively reduces head trauma beyond current standards in addition to making helmets entirely reusable. Current helmets on the market are typically made with expanded polystyrene (EPS), a material that permanently deforms after a crash. However, OmegaWEAR's helmets do not deform and can be used over and over again.

11.7.06 TEST RIG CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAY - OmegaWEAR's test rig designs are complete, meaning construction will commence soon. OmegaWEAR will be testing materials to ensure of a safer quality helmet than those on the market.
