Dave joined Soul Engines in 1999 when he replaced long time Engines' guitarist Johnny Dege after Johnny decided to retire. Dave immediately made his presence felt by contributing creatively and taking part in the songwriting process. Dave has penned his own tunes as well as co-written several tunes with Mark on the band's latest effort, Closer Still. Dave was also a valuable creative force in the studio during the recording of Closer Still.
