PV Couple Celebrates

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lapsley of 1125 Beverly Road, Port Vue, are observing their golden wedding anniversary today.

The former Corrine Conley and Mr. Lapsley both of Glassport were married April 15, 1950, in St. Cecilia Church, Glassport, by the Rev. Albert Gladis. Mr. Lapsley is retired from the Irvin plant, U.S. Steel Corp., with 40 years of service, and his wife is a former employee of Bell Telephone.

They are the parents of Thomas D. Lapsley of Zelienople, twins, Dr. Daniel K. Lapsley of Muncie, Ind., and David K. Lapsley of Bellevue, John K. Lapsley of Glassport, and twins, Ronald K. Lapsley of Springfield, Va., and Raymond K. Lapsley of Stephens City, Va. The couple has eight grandchildren.

In honor of the occasion, a reception is planned at the Office Lounge Restaurant.


Glassport Pair Marks 50 Years

Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Mularski of Glassport celebrated their golden wedding anniversary Saturday.

The former Mary Ann Long of McKeesport and Mr. Mularski of Glassport were married April 29, 1950, in St. Peter Church by the Rev. Ralph Morgan. Mr. Mularski is retired from the Clairton plant, U.S. Steel Corp., with 34 years of service and his wife was employed at Bell Telephone Co.

They are the parents of Carol Ann Powell of Columbus, Ohio, Robert E. Mularski of Portersville and James J. Mularski of Glassport. The couple has three grandchildren.

A family dinner was held in Paule’s Lookout Restaurant, West Mifflin.

Glassport Pair Marking Event

Mr. and Mrs. Willis Korenoski of Glassport are observing their golden wedding anniversary today.

The former Helen Dzurenda and Mr. Korenoski of Hazelwood were married May 13, 1950, in Holy Trinity Church. Mr. Korenoski is retired from Baltimore and Ohio Railroad.

They are the parents of MaryAnn Ross of Glassport, Peggy Korenoski of McKeesport, Debbie DeMay of Bethel Park and Bill and Patty Korenoski of Glassport. The couple has six grandchildren.

A dinner was held in G&K Hall, West Mifflin, and Mass was offered in St. Martin de Porres Parish to mark the occasion.

Sister Dorothy Strelinski, S.H.S., formerly of Glassport, marked her Golden Jubilee as a member of the Sisters of the Holy Spirit in West View. There was a mass at the Motherhouse to mark the milestone. The Most Rev. D. Zubick and her brother, the Rev. Ernest Strelinski were concelebrants. She works at Marian Manor in Greentree.

Mr. and Mrs. John Singer of 3228 Orchard Drive, Liberty, are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary today.

The former Geraldine (Gerry) Byard and Mr. Singer, both of Glassport, were married June 9, 1950, in Glassport United Methodist Church. Mr. Singer is retired from the National plant, U.S. Steel Corp.

They are the parents of Keith Singer of Stahlstown, Becky Bagshaw of Pittsburgh and Jeff Singer of Sarasota, Fla.

In honor of the occasion, a dinner for family and friends will be held at Chesterfield’s Restaurant in North Huntingdon Twp.

A family celebration was hosted by the children of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Bonadio of 312 Donna Drive, Elizabeth Twp., to mark the couple's golden wedding anniversary.

The former Lois Arlene Bird of Jeannette and Mr. Bonadio of Vanderbilt were married June 10, 1950, in St. Cecelia Church in Glassport by the Rev. Albert Gladis. Mr. Bonadio is retired from the data processing department and service center of the Irvin plant, U.S. Steel Corp., with 40 years of service and is a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II serving in Guam. His wife is a graduate of the McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing and a retired nurse from the hospital.

They are the parents of Blane Bona dio of Cranberry Twp., Joyce McDonald of White Oak and Kent Bonadio of Harrison City. The couple has nine grand

children.

The former Ruth J. Kinzie of Port Vue and Mr. Tomasello of Glassport were married June 17, 1950, in St. Joseph Church, Port Vue, by the Rev. Synder. Mr. Tomasello is a former employee of Shafron Auto Service.

They are the parents of Domenic P. Tomasello of McDonald, Ruth J. Stanich of Port Vue, Phyllis M. Mossburg of Greenock, Charles A. Tomasello of Biloxi, Miss., and Nicole Ukasik of Liberty. The couple has 11 grandchildren and a great grandchild.

In honor of the occasion, a reception will be held in the Lincoln Borough Fire Hall.

William Finns Mark 45 Years

Mr. and Mrs. William A. Finn of Glassport celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary.

The former Elsie A. Bachisin and Mr. Finn of McKeesport were married June 18, 1955, in St. Peter Church in McCrory. Mr. Finn is retired from the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Co. and his wife is a former employee of Jaison's Department Store and H.L. Green Co. in McKeesport.

They are the parents of William Dean Finn of Pleasant Hills, Kelly Ann Hartnett of Lincoln and Kathy Lee Derry of Dravosburg. The couple has six grandchildren.

In honor of the occasion, the couple attended Mass at Queen of the Rosary Parish in Glassport followed by a surprise family dinner and cruise, hosted by their children, aboard the Gateway Clipper Party Liner.

Family Marks 50th Wedding Anniversary, Times Three

Divine Liturgy of Thanksgiving was celebrated Saturday in SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Duquesne to mark the golden wedding anniversaries of Mr. and Mrs. John Marko of McKeesport; Mr. and Mrs. Pasquale Pellecchia of Belleville, Mich.; and Mr. and Mrs. George Marko Jr. of Buffalo, N.Y. Duquesne residents, John and George Marko and their sister, Margaret, were all married within 11 weeks of each other in 1950. Each couple received an anniversary blessing by the Rev. John Custer in the church where the Markos’ parents, George and Mary Marko, were married in 1920. The former Mary Ann Gush of Glassport and John Marko began the wedding relay July 15, 1950, when they were married in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church here. He is a retired foreman from the Duquesne plant, U.S. Steel Corp. They are the parents of John Marko in North Carolina and Robert, Andrew and Michael Marko, Michele Medved and Mary Beth Mannarino, all of McKeesport. The couple has 13 grandchildren. Second down the wedding aisle were Margaret Marko and Mr. Pellecchia of McKeesport who were married Aug. 21, 1950, in SS. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church by the Rev. Stephen Loya. He is retired from the Kelsey-Hayes Wheel Co., Romulus, Mich., and she is a real estate agent in Belleville. They are the parents of Mark Pellecchia of Manitou Beach, Mich., Paula Lisa Rossi of Plantsville, Conn., and the late Patrick Pellecchia. The couple has three grandchildren and a great grandchild. The former Mary Ferraro of Buffalo and George Marko were the last to tie the knot when they were married in a Byzantine Catholic church in Buffalo, Sept. 28, 1950. He is a retired truck driver. They are the parents of David and Paul Marko of Buffalo and George Marko of Pittsburgh and have three grandchildren. A reception for family and friends followed the service at Paule’s Look-Out in West Mifflin.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Allen Mark of 6448 Oakview Drive, Harrisburg, will mark their golden wedding anniversary Friday.

The former Elin Linnea Carlson of Glassport and Mr. Mark of Elizabeth were married Sept. 1, 1950, in Elizabeth Methodist Church by the Rev. Stillwagon. Mr. Mark and his wife are both retired from the Department of the Auditor General of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. He was also a former vice president of Epic Metals Corp.

They are the parents of David A. Mark of Lakeland, Fla., Diane L. Mark of Suquamish, Wash., Dale J. Mark of Darien, Ill., and Donna E. Duvall of Elizabeth. The couple has a grandson.

In honor of the occasion, an anniversary picnic will be held in Round Hill Park, Elizabeth Twp.

Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Vitullo of 515 Ohio Ave., Glassport, are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary today.

The former Susan Super of Glassport and Mr. Vitullo of Pittsburgh were married Sept. 16, 1950, in Holy Trinity Church by the Rev. Joseph Super. Mr. Vitullo is a retired crane operator from Copperweld Bimetallics Division in Glassport and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War 11 serving in the Pacific Theater of Operations. His wife is a former co-owner of a beauty shop.

They are the parents of Richard Vitullo of Roanoke, Va., John Vitullo of Clairton, Michael Vitullo of West Mifflin and Karen Neubert in Washington state. The couple has seven grandchildren.

In honor of the occasion, a dinner party for family and friends will be held in the Sons of Italy in Glassport.

The former Dorothy (Dot) Stasko of Glassport and Mr. Kacsan of McKeesport were married Sept. 18, 1950, in McKeesport. The couple are both retired from the National plant, U.S. Steel Corp., in McKeesport. She is a resident at Kane Regional Center in McKeesport.

They are the parents of Jane Thomas in New Jersey, John Paul Kacsan in Florida, Paula Sanner of North Huntingdon Twp. and Marsha Kacsan of Kenneth Square. The couple has seven grandchildren.

In honor of the occasion, the family celebrated at Chesterfield’s Restaurant in North Huntingdon Twp. and the couple renewed their vows at Kane Regional Center Hands of Prayer Chapel with the Rev. Terrence Adams as celebrant. A cake and coffee reception followed.

Mr. Lostetter is retired from Copperweld Bimetallics Division in Glassport. His wife is a former employee of the Canopy Restaurant in McKeesport.

They are the parents of Nita Ratica of North Huntingdon Twp., Ed Lostetter Jr. and Susan Shaver of Port Vue, Jim Lostetter of Tampa, Fla., and Rob Lostetter of West Mifflin. The couple has seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

In honor of the occasion an anniversary party is planned at the couple’s home.

The former Alice Cegelski of Glassport and Mr. Szmyd of Wilmerding were married Nov. 23, 1950, in the former Holy Cross Church, Glassport, by the Rev. Stanley Dembinski. Mr. Szmyd is a former plant guard from the Irvin plant, U.S. Steel Corp., and his wife is a former employee in the office of Ray L. Cegelski, Certified Public Accountant. They are the parents of Daniel Szmyd of South Park Twp., Richard Szmyd of Glassport, Cheryl Opfer of Gillette, Wyo., and Bonnie Wakefield of McKeesport. The couple has seven grandchildren.

In honor of the occasion, an Anniversary Mass will be held in Queen of the Rosary Church followed by a family dinner at the Rock Run Inn, Elizabeth Twp.

The Smiths are the parents of Donna Patalsky (husband James) of North Huntingdon, Cheryl Teamann (husband Gregg) of Manor, Lynn Kranz (husband Frank) of Greentree, and William Smith (wife Joyce) of Annandale, Va. They have six wonderful grandchildren, Gary, Michael, Jaira, Lauren, Alysha, and Frank. Mr. Smith retired from Westinghouse Electric Co. in Trafford.

Mr. Palyo is retired from Westinghouse Electric Corp., East Pittsburgh. His wife is a former glass cutter from the U.S. Glass House in Glassport.

They are the parents of Denise Martineau of Warwick, R.I., James Kyne of Shreveport, La., and Stephen Kyne of Bellingham. The couple has six grandchildren, two step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren.

In honor of the occasion, a reception was hosted by their daughter and her children in July.

The former Bette Faye McCracken of Glassport and Mr. Seighman of Smithton were married Oct. 7, 1941, in Turtle Creek by the Rev. Frank Casley. Mr. Seighman is a retired heavy equipment operator from Twight Industries.

They are the parents of Terry Seighman of Elizabeth. The couple has a granddaughter and two great grandchildren.

In honor of the occasion, the couple is planning a trip to the Allenberry Resort in Boiling Springs.

The former Phyllis Hardin and Mr. Mularski were married Oct. 1, 1951, in St. Cecilia Church, Glassport. Mr. Mularski is a retired plant manager from the Keywell Corp., West Mifflin.

They are the parents of Gary Mularski of Houston, Tex., Terry Mularski of Greensburg, Mark Mularski of Grayslake, Ill., and Holly Mularski of Pittsburgh. The couple has four Grandchildren.

William Valyos Mark 50 Years

Mr. and Mrs. William G. Valyo of 1008 Dunedin Drive, Greensburg, are marking their golden wedding anniversary year.

The former Dolores Dworek of Glassport and Mr. Valyo of McKeesport were married Sept. 11, 1951, at St. Cecelia Church, Glassport, by the Rev. Walter O'Hara. Mr. Valyo is a retired contract carpet representative from Milliken Carpet Co. in LaGrange, Ga., and his wife is a former employee of M.A. Baskind Design Showroom and the Federal Bureau of Investigation Office in Pittsburgh.

They are the parents of Gregory Valyo of Glassport, Cary W. Valyo of Pittsburgh and Chris Valyo and Leslie Hanson of Greensburg. The couple has four grandchildren.

In honor of the occasion, a Mass of Thanksgiving was celebrated at Blessed Sacrament Cathedral in Greensburg by Bishop Anthony G. Bosco. A brunch was hosted by their children at Mountain View Inn and a reception took place at the couple's home.

The former Betty Simmons of Nethkin, W.Va., and Mr. Helmick of Shallman, Md., were married March 23, 1952, in Shallman by the Rev. Henry Burton. Mr. Helmick is a former employee of Tube City Iron and Metal in West Mifflin and his wife is a former treasurer for Glassport Assembly of God for 25 years.

They are the parents of Carol Helmick, Bonnie Tusai, Sherry Chapko and Billy Helmick of Glassport, Linda Gilbert of Wilson, Debbie DiNardo of North Versailles Twp., Vicky Smith of Duquesne and Paul Helmick of Pittsburgh. The couple has 13 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A family dinner was held at Heavenly Acres Restaurant in McKeesport to mark the occasion.

The former Isabella Pearson and Mr. Thompson were married May 16, 1952, in the First Methodist Church of Glassport by the Rev. William S. Hamilton. Mr. Thompson is retired from U.S. Steel Research in Monroeville and his wife is retired from Three Rivers Bank in McKeesport.

They are the parents of Mark Thompson of Honey Brook, Jeffrey Thompson of Wooster, Ohio, Thomas Thompson Jr. of South Huntingdon Twp. and James Thompson of Glen Burnie, Md. The couple has eight grandchildren.

Mr. Ehlers is retired from the National plant, U.S. Steel Corp., and his wife is retired from UPMC McKeesport. They are the parents of the Rev. William Ehlers of Winnipeg, Canada, Frederick Ehlers of McKeesport and Susan Sigler of Cokeburg.

The couple has seven grandchildren and two step grandchildren. A family dinner is being planned to mark the occasion.

Mr. Feltz is a retired masonry contractor with 40 years of service.

They are the parents of John Feltz of Glassport and Jim Feltz of Pittsburgh. The couple has four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

They are the parents of Karen Savage of Liberty, Debbie Wright of Glassport and David Foster of Port Vue. The couple has five grandchildren.

Mr. Rabickow retired from the Clairton plant, U.S. Steel Corp., and as a self-employed painter. His wife is a retired dental assistant.

Mr. Smith is retired from Teledyne Firth Sterling in LaVergne, Tenn., with 45 years of service, and his wife is a former teacher at Emerson Elementary School in West Mifflin and a substi­tute teacher in the elementary schools of South Allegheny School District. They are the parents of Jamie Cunning of Elizabeth Twp. and Marcy Gossman of Glassport. The couple has one grandson. In honor of the occasion, the family vacationed in Punta Cana and are planning a trip to Las Vegas, Nev.

Peter and the former Sophie Grabowski were married in St. Mary’s Polish Church on Versailles Ave. in McKeesport.

Peter was born and raised in Glassport along with six brothers and a sister. Sophie was born and raised in Port Vue with three brothers and three sisters. The Piekut moved to their present Glassport address in 1942 and raised four sons there: Norbert (Kathleen) of Glassport, Thomas of Hawaii, Gerard (Wendy) of Tracy, Calif. and Gregory of Alberquerque, N.M. Peter and Sophie have eight grandchil­dren and five great-grandchil­dren. Mr. Piekut retired as a machininst from the U.S. Steel Irvin Works in 1965 with 39 years of service. In addition to raising their children, Sophie took care of 43 foster children through Catholic Charities of Pittsburgh and was honored by Cardinal Wright for her efforts.

Following Mass the family attended a brunch celebration at The Georgetown Centre in South Hills.

Mr. and Mrs. Mile Milkovich of Glassport are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary with a reception held at Newman’s Pub in Pleasant Hills.

The former Betty Babyak and Miles were married on June 24, 1942, in St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Washington, D.C., by the Rev. Paul T. Lutov.

Miles served in the U.S. Army for four and a half years as an Infantry Captain and retired as general foreman from the National Tube Plant of U.S. Steel Corporation. His wife was employed in the metallurgical laboratory of the Irwin Works, U.S. Steel Corporation.

They are the parents of Ronald, Brian, Michele and Kim. They have seven grandchildren, Ryan, Shaun, Allison, Kris, Lauren, Lindsay and Ashley.

Eugene “Buck” and Mildred Liebel were married by the Rev. Ralph Stack of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Glassport on March 1, 1958. She is the former Mildred Wilson.

Eugene worked at Copperweld in Glassport for 27 years then retired from Duquesne University. Mildred waitressed for 25 years then retired from Ames Department Store.

They have five children, MaryAnn (Craig) Meyers, Eugene Jr. (Debbie), Mike (Melissa), Brenda (Chris) Heater and Brian (Felicia). They also have 12 grandchildren and seven great­grandchildren.

Buck and Midge will celebrate with their family at a special dinner and a trip to the beach this summer.

An anniversary dinner hosted by their daughter Juli and her boyfriend Chad Burdette, both of Tempe, Ariz., was at the Aqua S Restaurant in Duck, N.C.

Barbara was a secretary at Marcus Kitchen in Pittsburgh. John is a retired self employed plumbing and heating contractor.

The have four children, John and Sandra of Liberty Borough, Michael and Barbara of Elizabeth Township, Patricia and Larry Will of New Baltimore, Somerset County and Daniel of Washington Boulevard.

The have six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Four of their six grandchildren are serving in the U. S. Military. Sgt. Greg Hart is now serving in Iraq, 2nd tour, AE3 John Hart is stationed on the USS Theodore Roosevelt, C53 Erik Hart is also stationed on the USS Theodore Roosevelt and Pvt. Beth Hart Rodrigues resides in Texas and has served one tour in Iraq.

The former Florence Jablonski of Glassport and Steve Ganchuk of Atlasburg, Pa., were united in marriage Nov. 24, 1949, in the former Holy Cross Church of Glassport, now Queen of the Rosary Church, by the late Rev. Alex Krajewski. A blessing was received from the Rev. Casimir Kedzierski at the Saturday evening Mass at the Queen of the Rosary Church.

He retired from Bucyrus Erie Foundry after more than 33 and Divine Hospital in Pittsburgh after 6 1 / 2 years. She retried after 33 years from the South Allegheny cafeteria in Glassport Elementary School.

They are the parents of Steve and Judy Ganchuk of Liberty, Kathy (Ganchuk) and Bob Miskanin of Glassport, and Tom Ganchuk of Austin, Texas. They have 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

The children surprised them with a dinner at K Vays, which was attended by friends and family.

Bonadios mark 60th

Frank and Lois Bonadio of Elizabeth Township cel­ebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 10.

The former Lois Arlen Bird and Frank Bonadio were married June 10, 1950, in St. Cecilia Church in Glassport by the Rev. Gladis.

He worked for U.S. Steel Irvin Works in data processing. She was a registered nurse at UPMC McKeesport.

They are the parents of Blane (Susan) Bonadio of Zelienople, Joyce (Randy) McDonald of White Oak and Kent (Kathleen) Bonadio of Harrison City. They have nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The couple and family members attended Mass June 5 in St. Michael’s Church in Elizabeth Township. A family gathering followed.

Singers mark 60 years

John and Gerry Singer of Liberty celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary June 9.

The former Gerry Byard of Glassport and John Singer of Glassport were married June 9, 1950, in Glassport United Methodist Church.

He retired from National Tube and she is a housewife.

They are the parents of Keith (Sue Ann) Singer of Stahlstown, Becky (Tim) Bagshaw of Pittsburgh and Jeff Singer of Sarasota, Fla.

A dinner with their children is planned later this month.

Spagnolas celebrate 60th anniversary

Anthony and Mary Spagnola of Glassport are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today.

The former Mary Tarli of Glassport and Anthony Spagnola of Cheiti, Italy, were married Aug. 27, 1960, in St. Cecelia Roman Catholic Church in Glassport by the Rev. Walter O’Hara.

He worked for U.S. Steel and she worked at Shop N Save and Party Rama.

They are the parents of Mary Ann (Russell) Geary of Glassport, Anthony (Christine) Spagnola of Ripon, Calif., Lena (George) Crow of San Diego, Calif., and Janet (David) Loy of North Huntingdon Township. They are the grandparents of seven.

A family dinner was in June at the Olive Garden in Pleasant Hills.

D’Angelo’s mark 50 years

Louis and Shirley D’Angelo of Glassport are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.

The D’Angelo’s were married September 3, 1960, in St. Perpetua Church in Christy Park. Shirley is retired from Union National Bank in Glassport. Louis is retired from the Auditor General Department for the state of Pennsylvania. The couple has three children, Louis D’Angelo, Rosanna DiMarco and Brian D’Angelo. They have six grandchildren, Katie D’Angelo, Julia D’Angelo, Lisa D’Angelo, Elizabeth Yesensky DiMarco, Samantha D’Angelo and Nicholas D’Angelo.

Glassport pair marks event

Raymond and Kathleen Wolf of Glassport are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary today.

The former Kathleen Resvosky and Wolf were married Nov. 19, 1960, in St. Paulinus Roman Catholic Church in Clairton by the Rev. James Connelly. He was a partner in Delo & Wolf Painting and Wallcovering for 38 years. She was employed by the G.C. Murphy Co. and worked at several bookkeeping positions including The Massaro Co.

They are the parents of Kenneth (Kathy) Wolf of Munhall and Linda (Al) Zangrilli of Jefferson Hills. The couple has four grandchildren, Meghan, Jaime, Annika and Mario.

In honor of the occasion, a family dinner was at Francesco’s.

Evelyn and Chester (Cesidio) Persichetti of Jefferson Hills are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.

The former Evelyn Bercik of Glassport and Persichetti of Alveto, Italy, and Clairton were married Nov. 24, 1960, in St. Clair of Assisi Roman Catholic Church in Clairton by the Rev. Walsh.

He is retired from Persichetti Construction Co. and his wife is a retired hair dresser.

They are the parents of Lori (David) Schalles of Jefferson Hills, Robert (Trish) Persichetti of Perryopolis, Joanne (Mike) Ricci of Girard and Maryann (Wayne) Cheatle of Marietta, Ga.

The couple has 10 grandchildren, Alys Cheatle of Pittsburgh, Nicole Cheatle of Boston, Julie Schalles of Pittsburgh, Stephanie Schalles at University Park State College, Mark Schalles of Jefferson Hills, Logan and Michael Persichetti of Perryopolis, and Halie, Nine and Lauren Ricci of Girard.

A celebration dinner hosted by the children and grandchildren was at South Hills Country Club in Brentwood.

Bob and Pat Lucas of Elizabeth Township are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today.

The former Pat Kantorczyk and Lucas of Glassport were married Nov. 26, 1960, in St. Cecilia Church in Glassport by the Rev. O’Hara.

He is a practicing attorney in Elizabeth Township and she worked at Bettis Atomic Power Laborartory in West Mifflin.

They are the parents of Jill Lucas of Alexandria, Va., and Karen Lucas Regan of Winston-Salem, N.C. The couple has one grandson, Matthew.

In honor of the occasion, the couple took a family trip to Hawaii followed by two ski trips to Vail and Tahoe. A surprise party was at the Pittsburgh Fairmont.

Elizabeth Township Couple Celebrates 50 Years of Marriage

Richard and Janice Smith Uher celebrated their golden wedding anniversary today.

The couple was married on June 17, 1961 in St. Michael's Church of Elizabeth with the Rev. Marcus O'Obrien as a witness.

Richard was a former employee of Carnegie Mellon University and Westinghouse Electric Corporation. Now retired, he now operates a consulting business called the Rail Systems Center from his home. Janice works for Alfieri Funeral Home in Wilmerding and was a former employee of North American Industries in Boston, PA.

They are the parents of Christopher Uher (Heidi) in Poulsbo, WA; Keith Uher (Lori) in Scott Township and Micki Uher Smith of Greensburg.

They are the grandparents of Michael Smith of Osaka, Japan, Jessica Uher of Poulsbo, WA, Jenna Uher of Seattle, WA, Jonathan Uher of Scott and Jeremy Uher of Scott.

In celebration of the event, the family and friends enjoyed a dinner at Rock Run Inn in Elizabeth Township.

The former Angela Carol Orlando wed Paul Starinsky on July 22, 1961 at St. Perpetua Church in McKeesport, PA The Rev. Albert Inteso officiated. Mr. Starinsky retired from U.S. Steel Corp.

The couple are the parents of Steven (Sherry) Starinsky of Port Vue and Stephanie Orlando of Peter's Twp. They have 2 grandchildren Ryan and Breanna Starinsky.

Carl Wallace “Wally” and Dorothy Amman of White Oak are celebrating their diamond wedding anniversary today.

The former Dorothy Ann Hilko of Glassport and Amman of Pittsburgh were married Sept. 6, 1951, in Wesley Memorial Methodist Church in Raleigh, N.C., by the Rev. Thomas A. Collins. He retired from the National plant, U.S. Steel Corp., with 35 years of service and Dunn Corp. with 10 years of service, and his wife retired from Pennsylvania State University, McKeesport campus, with 20 years of service and was employed by the McKeesport Area School District for three years.

They are the parents of Deborah Ann Gwirtz of Carmel, Ind., and Kathleen Ann Bolla of Richardson, Texas. The couple has six grandchildren.

In honor of the occasion, a family celebration at Kiawah Island, S.C., was planned for the summer and a trip to Hunterville, N.C., is planned for the fall.

He is retired from the National plant, U.S. Steel Corp., and his wife is retired from Firth Sterling Credit Union in McKeesport.

They are the parents of Michael (Suzi) Crawford of San Diego, Calif., and Carl (Anne) Crawford of Germantown, Md.

In honor of the occasion, a family dinner is planned at Mitchell’s Fish Market at the Waterfront in Homestead.

Lowell Eugene and Carol Fay Gregg of Glassport celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a surprise dinner with family and friends aboard The Gateway Clipper on Sunday.

The former Carol Gardner of Glassport and Gregg of Elizabeth were married on July 20, 1963. He worked at U.S. Steel National Tube and for ACCESS and she worked for the South Allegheny School District.

They are the parents of four children, Doris Haywood of McKeesport, Tammy List of White Oak, Brian Gregg and David Gregg, both of Glassport. The couple has five grandchildren.

He is employed by the Clairton plant, U.S. Steel Corp. and his wife is an employee at the Shoe Dept. in Century III Mall.

They are the parents of Joseph (Laura) Gatchie of West Mifflin, James (Angie) Gatchie of Liberty and Jenna Gatchie of Glassport.

The couple has three grandchildren, Kolby, Kendra and Kaden.

Robert (Sonny) and Ethel (Sis) Warman of Glassport are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary today. The event was marked on Saturday with a family party in Glassport.

The former Ethel Earnesty of Connellsville and Warman of Markelton were married on Sept. 30, 1963, at the Uniontown Court House. He is retired from Mon Valley Transportation, and she is retired from Linsly Nursing Home.

They are the parents of Lisa Richards, Ethel Tauber, Carla Ingram and Darla Grayson, all of McKeesport; Lawrence Warman of New Freeport; Christina Howard of Dunnellon , Fla.; Robert Warman Jr. of West Newton.

They have 20 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He retired as a self-employed plumbing and heating contractor in Glassport and his wife is a retired secretary for Marcus Kitchens in Pittsburgh.

They are the parents of John (Sandra) Hart of Liberty, Michael (Barbara) Hart of Elizabeth Township, Patricia (Larry) Will of New Baltimore in Somerset County and Daniel Hart of Glassport. The couple has six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Jess and Barbara LaFollette of Clairton are celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary today. Their family is planning a celebration at Round Hill Park July 12 at the Alfalfa pavilion.

The former Barbara Tognarini of Elizabeth and La-Follette of Glassport were married March 20, 1954.

He retired from U.S. Steel’s National Tube Works in McKeesport and has made an entrepreneurial career of heating and air conditioning.

The couple raised their children in Elizabeth. The couple lived in Show Low, Ariz., for 10 years prior to residing in Clairton.

They are the parents of eight children: Chris La-Follette of Clairton, Glenn LaFollette of Missouri, Barbara Cade of Mt. Airy, Md., Sheryl Ingram of Glass-port, Angela LaFollette of Richeyville, Don LaFollette of Elizabeth Township, Teressa LaFollette of Whitaker and Renee LaFollette of Lawrenceville. They have 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He retired from U.S. Steel Irvin Works and she retired from Westinghouse Transportation Division.

They are the parents of Joseph (Mitzi) of Sauk Rapids, Minn.; David (Kathy) of Chippewa; James (Patti) of Greensburg; and Mary Ann (David) Pohill of Richeyville. They have 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and five stepgreat-grandchildren.

Loretta and Nick Dabruzzo of Glassport are celebrating their 50th anniversary.

The former Loretta Skerkoski of Glassport and Dabruzzo of Glassport were married June 20, 1964, at Fort Gordon, Ga., by an Army chaplain before he left for a tour of duty to Korea.

She worked at National City Bank and he was employed by the Port Authority.

They are the parents of Nick (Brett) of Urbana, Md., and Rick (Lisa) of Cranberry. The couple has one granddaughter, Sydney, and a grandson, Max.

In honor of the occasion, the couple will celebrate with a Mass at 4 p.m. on Saturday at Queen of the Rosary Parish in Glassport followed by dinner at Rock Run Inn in Elizabeth Township.
