Watershed Mural: Volunteer

February 2006

• Volunteer carpenters cut shapes from wood for mural “pop-ups”
• Volunteer artists paint “pop-ups” indoors at Horizons School
• Fichter (Muralist) and researchers finalize design of second half(Atlantic) of the wall

• Fund-raising continues!  Add your name to the mural!

March

• Volunteers power-wash and prime the second half of the wall
• Fund-raising continues!  Add your name to the mural!

April

• David Fichter (our muralist) travels back to Georgia on April 15
• Fichter and experienced artists work to refine and complete Gulf side of mural
• Volunteer carpenters cut out “pop-ups,” volunteers paint them, and carpenters install them
• Fichter draws Atlantic side of mural
• "All-Painter Workdays": Volunteers needed daily from Friday, April 21 through Sunday, April 30 to paint the Atlantic (right) side of mural

May / June

• Fichter’s final visit to complete mural
• Fichter and experienced artists work to refine and complete Atlantic- side of mural
• Fichter oversees installation of protective coating over mural
• Mural dedication and party!!!
