Thanks goes to the Addison Center for the Arts and our Village Trustee Harry Theodore for tracking down and donating the 35mm film "Sound of Music" for our Sing-Along on the 23rd of Feb. Also thanks goes out to Marcus Cinema for the use of their theater and staff. AT's Drama Club was out in force to help everyone with the lyrics although most knew (or claimed they knew) them already. AT's students were dressed the part to greet our visitors at the theatre and sing along. There was hissing, cheering, and tea bags flying around along with rice and anything the folks thought might be in the show. It was very interactive and everyone commented on what a great time they had. The boosters hope to do one more before the end of the year to help increase our scholarship fund if possible. We had two shows and with a total of over 150 tickets sold, the drama department made a nice profit of close to $800.00 to help fund the next production "GWSH".
