Jim

Many years ago, being a Dancer without a Partner, Jim Asher attended his first Sweetheart Jamboree all by his lonesome.  Jim and Elizabeth met at a dance at the Cimarron Country Dancers’ 2 weeks later.  Elizabeth caught Jim’s eye and the rest, as they say, is history.    So, the next year, he set sail with Elizabeth and set a course to the Annual Sweetheart Jamboree.  Jim won the Sweetheart quilt that year and Elizabeth said there is no way you can have a Sweetheart quilt and stay single.  So they found the ships Chaplin and have been negotiating calm waters together since.

So after Jim and Elizabeth was married, they asked around at Sweetheart and found themselves watching doors at the event to make sure no stowaways got on board.  Eventfully, Jim wanted to Captain the ship and do it all – with the help of a great Executive staff, of course.  Jim and Elizabeth are out working the decks and don’t get out to dance much these days, but they sure do like seeing all you folks at the events.
