The County of Cryllor

Detailed Information of the Major Religions in Cryllor
The City of Cryllor is the center of religious life for the
county. Although the temples in the City do not have official legal
status, they serve as the central temples for the County.
Generally, the
ranking priests of the temples in Cryllor spend most of their time in the
City itself.
Most of the temples and shrines in the smaller towns and
villages of Cryllor do not have an actual priest, relying on acolytes and
deacons for day to day functions with periodic visits from a circuit
priest.
The largest religions (Cuthbert, Heironeous, Ehlonna, Fharlanghn,
Zilchus, Trithereon, Xerbo, and Norebo) have distinct hierarchical priests
overseeing the central city temple and watching over the circuit
priests; some of these priests, depending on the structure of their
temples, have titles on the order of bishop,
but most of the temples are simply overseen by a senior priest.
Many of the temples serve secular
functions in addition to their religious functions; the temples of St. Cuthbert and Heironeous both train substantial numbers of troops, the
temple of Zilchus functions as a bank and a business association, and the
temple of Norebo is the major gambling hall of the city.
The temple of Heironeous has
gained significant influence because of its strong ties to Dame Grenna, but still does not have large
amounts of influence. All of the other human gods worshipped within
Keoland also have shrines within the City of Cryllor.
Finally, there are
newly erected shrines to the most important dwarven gods in the Refugee
Quarter, although these temples are in search of true priests to supervise
them.
The only notable religious reference within the Castle is a small but wealthy chapel to Heironeous.
